"Red biotechnology" is the name given to health biotechnology and its two main aspects: Development of bio-products and diagnostics.
Some examples of it include identifying new active ingredients, producing safer vaccines and novel bio-pharmaceuticals, using new approaches in molecular diagnostics and advanced therapies and fostering development in genetic engineering to cure diseases by means of this procedure.
